Bagno di Romagna : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bagno di Romagna
Bagno di Romagna is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about southeast of Bologna and about south of Forlì. Bagno di Romagna borders the following municipalities: Bibbiena, Chiusi della Verna, Mercato Saraceno, Poppi, Pratovecchio, Santa Sofia, Sarsina, Verghereto. It is now a renowned centre for thermal cares. ==History== Bagno di Romagna was founded by the Romans, developing after a bath (''balneum'' in Latin, whence the modern name). In 540 it was destroyed by the Ostrogoths. The town recovered after the 14th century under the Guidi family, who surrounded it with a line of walls. Later it was under the Republic of Florence and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. It became part of the Emilia-Romagna region in 1923.
